HISTORY OF TABERNACLE OF PRAISE CHURCH INTERNATIONAL

In June of 2005, Tabernacle of Praise held its first service in the home of Pastor & Co-Pastor McBride. While in their home, six people joined their faith with the church. After a month of service, the Lord allowed us to lease several spaces in the McDonough Place Strip Mall. It was here that God began to grow the ministry and many souls were saved.

In 2007, the Lord began to deal with Pastor about moving into a new building at a new location. The church came together and began to assist in the renovation of our new edifice at 96 South Zack Hinton Parkway in McDonough. In January of 2008, we were able to finish construction and hold our first services in our new place of worship. Because of the rapid growth of the ministry, we moved to as many as three services on Sunday mornings. During this time, we leased 1.5 acres of land and several modular buildings to launch the T.O.P. Community Development Corporation. We launched the Boys Mentorship Program, After-School Enrichment Program, and the Food and Clothes Pantry.

In 2013, we were blessed to relocate to our new facilities located at 1640 Hwy 42 North, in McDonough, GA. We believe God for more that he wants us to do in the near future. We look forward to the opportunities and possibilities that God has for us. We want to do more for God, our immediate community and surrounding neighborhoods.
 
TOP is a community minded church. We have been able to host Easter Food Giveaways, Thanksgiving Food Giveaways, Back to School Giveaways, Gas Giveaways, Christmas Toy Drives, and many other community impact initiatives. We are partners with various non-profit organizations in our community and we sponsor several missionaries around the world.

 

In 2014, we launched the TOP Early Learning Daycare Center which serves the children in our community.

 

In 2015, we launched the TOP Christian Academy which is open to Kindergarten – 8th Grade Students.

 

In 2016 we launched our 2nd  Tabernacle of Praise Church International location in Jonesboro, Georgia at 2450 Mount Zion Pkwy. God has blessed the ministry to see tremendous growth. We are also able to continue our Community Outreach in this area and have witnessed lives being changed and souls saved.

In 2021 we launched our 3rd Tabernacle of Praise Church International location in Griffin, Georgia at 1335 W. Taylor St.

Since then, God is continuing to add to the church rapidly.  To God be the glory for the things He has done!
